WWOM: That reminds me, I should have had my coat sleeves shortened

Don’t you just love the British climate. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and from the window it looks gorgeously spring-like, but it’s absolutely freezing cold.

For this March Monday, I am wearing a wool and cashmere coat in a ginger colour by Ann Louise Roswald, with black opaques by Falke, vintage black petit stilettos and a black bag by LK Bennett. My (wholly predictable) accessories are my Perspex animal print cuff from Greenwich Market, and my Perpex and gold leaf ring from Laurent Guillot.

Cyndy is wearing a really slim-fit shirt in a lovely shade of caramel by Thomas Pink, navy cropped trousers from Zara, navy shoeboots from M&S, necklace from Melbourne boutique Arthur Galan and Perspex and gold leaf earrings by Laurent Guillot. Note the way Cyndy has styled the shirt to work for her – collar up to frame the face, cuffs turned back to balance the silhouette.

And please note the absent but important tailoring omission on my Ann Louise Roswald coat – the sleeves are too long; I should have had them shortened, but didn’t get around to it. Note to self: get the alteration done before storing the coat away for next winter.

If you don’t have a local tailoring service or a little lady who does your alterations, Total Wardrobe Care, based in Battersea, South-West London, offers a brilliant, very efficient and very comprehensive (albeit quite pricey) alteration service, which includes all the usual simple stuff, plus more complex alterations, including leather.
